  1. There are two executables provided here, "shell" and "shell.orig".  They
  2. are both the same size but are not identical.  The "shell" version was
  3. compiled by me from the supplied source code on 1-Jul-87, using Manx C
  4. version 3.40b at patch level 3.  The "shell.orig" version is the
  5. result of uudecoding the shell.uue file as posted to usenet (compiled with
  6. Manx C version 3.40a according to the documentation).

  8. I have not investigated to determine how the two executables differ, and
  9. whether or not the differences are significant.
